In 2022, a committee was formed to honor the memory of Dean Goette. Dean was an active and

passionate Blooming Prairie community member who sadly passed away in December 2021. Dean had

an entrepreneurial spirit that radiated a passion for life, family, sports, community, agriculture, and his

country. This energy radiated in all that he did and who all he interacted with.

With the support of the Blooming Prairie Youth Club, the first annual Red White & Blue Go Goette 5 K

walk/run was held on July 30th, 2022. This run was held in conjunction with the Blooming Prairie Youth

Club’s annual fundraising event Ribfest. Profits collected through this event were the catalyst in creating

the Blooming Prairie Youth Club Dean Goette Scholarship.

We are excited to host the 2nd annual run and scholarship fundraiser on July 29th, 2023.

Through an application process, our first annual $500 scholarship has been made available to the seniors

enrolled at Blooming Prairie High School for the 2023 Fall Collegiate Semester.
